General
The Lavender Project is committed to creating welcoming, respectful, and safer spaces for all attendees. We follow clear community guidelines centered on mutual respect, consent, and inclusion.
For public events, we coordinate with local law enforcement when appropriate to help ensure general event safety, while maintaining a community-first, non-disruptive approach. Volunteers and organizers are present during events to provide support, answer questions, and address concerns as they arise.
If someone feels unsafe or uncomfortable, they are encouraged to speak with an organizer right away so we can address concerns and help maintain a supportive space. We also encourage community members to not attend unless they feel safe to do so.
Absolutely not.
The Lavender Project is a queer-led nonprofit focused on providing books, resources, and community support for LGBTQIA2S+ youth and allies. We do not coerce or force anyone to participate, and our events are designed to be inclusive, safe, and voluntary.
We encourage families, youth, and community members to make informed choices and attend only when they feel comfortable.
